Forest Road 379

The Forest System Road 379 is a moderate off-road adventure starting from the trailhead near Gold Camp Road and leading to Pikes Peak. FSR 379 can also be accessed via FSR 376 (near the entrance to the South Slope Recreation Area).

Consisting of mainly dirt and gravel, this trail is suitable for high clearance vehicles only.

Hikers, mountain bikers and equestrian users be aware that the road is deeply rutted especially after heavy rains or snow melt.

Along the way, you will encounter some steep segments as you climb, but this makes for an exhilarating experience and plenty of photo opportunities.
